The Tell-Tale Heart The Tell-Tale Heart is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe, narrated in the first person. It is the coolness with which the fibber recounts the killing the mature man, that reveals his paranoia and psychosis. As he retells the story, he is actually admitting to the crime and is blamable of murder. He continues to sweep to this second party that he isnt insane, that what he did was all sane and sane, ergo; a rational explanation for unlogi cal behavior. His reason for murder was simple; in his mind it was fateful and called for. He says that the idea of murder, Haunted me twenty-four hour period and night. The narrator also claims he has over visual acuity of the senses something that led me to believe that the man suffered from severe madness because he was cunningly careful. In his calm recapping of the story, the narrator continues to insist that he is sane. His justification of the murder was that the experienced man (presumably his father in my opinion) had an evil plaza that stares at him day and night. He currently begins to hate it and thats when the idea of murdering the old man gives form. despite his insanity, the narrator claims that he loves the old man but hates scarce the eye, to him, that is reason equal and it justifies his murdering of the old man. He details in careful precision his committing of the murder.
